Nominations, Voting & Elections . . .

We were delighted to welcome Councillor Linda Bray on two occasions during the autumn term. Councillor Bray came into school to talk to our children about democracy and the whole process of nominations, voting and elections.

This was very relevant to our children pictured below, since they had been nominated by their peers for consideration as school council members.

Our ultimate student council elections were concluded on the 14th October when Councillor Bray officially congratulated and welcomed our young councillors into their role.

After her initial visit to Iqra School, Councillor Bray commented:

“[I] was very impressed by the excellent behaviour of the pupils, but more particularly by the interest and enthusiasm they showed in the subject.”
