Year 2 Class Assemblies

Around the world

In Topic during Autumn 2 we were looking at continents and oceans around the world. Children were looking at what makes each continent unique and have studied some of the most famous places on each continent. Alongside this, children also learned the names of the 5 oceans of the world and where they are situated.

In our class assembly in Autumn Term 1 the children taught us the how to stay safe using the internet. We leant that we need to keep safe online just like we keep safe in the real world. We learnt to keep to the SMART rules.

Our E-Safety Assembly - 14th October 2017

Class trip to The Omnibus Theatre

In Spring 1 Year 2 class will be studying Zeraffa Giraffa, by Dianne Hofmeyr, in English. It is picture book inspired by the true story of a giraffe sent as a gift to the King of France by the Great Pasha of Egypt in the 1820s. Amazingly the Omnibus Theatre in Clapham puton a production of Zeraffa Giraffa and we jumped at the opportunity to see it.

This term have been looking at the History of Transport in Topic and thus went on a trip to the London Transport Museum on the 25th September. The children partook in a workshopped called 'Platform Promenade'.
