Reception science focus: Space

This term, our Reception class has been on an out-of-this-world journey exploring the wonders of space! From learning fascinating facts about the planets to discovering how rockets blast off into the cosmos, our young explorers have been captivated by themysteries of the universe.

One of the most exciting hands-on activities? Building their very own rockets! Using card, foil and plenty of imagination, our little astronauts carefully designed and constructed their spacecraft, thinking about the shapes and features that make real rockets soar. They decorated their creations with flames making each rocket unique!

As they built, the children discussed what it would be like to travel to the Moon or Mars, sparking wonderful conversations about space travel and the adventures astronauts embark on.
