Iqra Mother & Daughter Eid Lunch
On Sunday, 29 March, our school hall came alive with the spirit of celebration as we hosted our Mother and Daughter Eid Lunch. The event was a spectacular showcase of our community's kindness, beginning with a "bring a dish" feast that saw parents outdo themselves. The tables were stacked high with an incredible variety of food, proving once again just how generous our school family truly is.
The atmosphere was wonderfully informal and relaxed, offering mothers a rare chance to simply be themselves, unwind, and socialize with one another. While the adults caught up and built new friendships, the children were fully immersed in their own fun. They dove into the delicious spread, and it’s safe to say the ice cream was the absolute hit of the day!
This sense of celebration and community joy wasn't just contained inside the school. Thousands of cars pass by our school every day, and we are now spreading that joy to the wider community through our two large Eid Mubarak banners. We have proudly placed one facing Park Hill and the other facing King Avenue, sharing our festivities with everyone who travels past.
The afternoon was filled with such genuine joy that many found they had completely lost track of time. This sense of togetherness is what makes our school so special, but it wouldn't be possible without a helping hand. We want to share a heartfelt thank you to the core group of mums who stayed behind to help clear everything up. Your hard work was the final touch on an event that truly brought our community closer together.
