World Book Day 2026 – Year 5 Costume Celebration

Year 5 had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day with our amazing Costume Celebration!

The children came to school dressed as a wide range of brilliant book characters. From magical heroes and daring adventurers to classic storybook favourites, it was wonderful to see so much creativity and enthusiasm on display.

Throughout the day, pupils shared who they were dressed as, talked about their chosen books and explained why they love those stories. It was a fantastic opportunity to recommend books to friends and celebrate our shared love of reading.

We were so impressed by the effort that went into the costumes. Many were handmade and showed incredible imagination — well done, Year 5!

World Book Day reminded us how powerful stories can be. They help us explore new worlds, meet unforgettable characters and develop a lifelong love of reading.
